Detailed Description:
Renocrit 4000 IU Injection is an erythropoiesis-stimulating agent (ESA) used to manage anemia by encouraging the bone marrow to produce more red blood cells. This improves oxygen delivery throughout the body, helping to reduce symptoms such as fatigue and weakness.
It is prescribed for:
Anemia due to chronic kidney disease (CKD)
Anemia caused by cancer chemotherapy
Anemia from HIV infection treated with zidovudine
It may also be used to reduce the need for blood transfusions in patients at high risk of blood loss before surgery.
Renocrit is not suitable for patients with uncontrolled hypertension, certain blood disorders, or hypersensitivity to its components. Use with caution in patients with a history of blood clots, heart disease, stroke, liver disease, or cancer.
Possible Side Effects:
Common: Headache, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, muscle cramps, injection site pain or swelling, fatigue, dizziness, chills, fever
Serious: Blood clots, stroke, heart attack, high blood pressure, seizures, allergic reactions, liver or kidney problems
