VaxiFlu uses inactivated (killed) virus particles to stimulate the immune system to produce antibodies. These antibodies protect against infection if the person is later exposed to the flu.

Do not self-administer — must be given by a licensed professional
Inform your doctor if:
You have severe allergies (especially to eggs or previous flu vaccines)
You have a fever or are seriously ill
You’ve had Guillain-Barré syndrome
Avoid giving aspirin to children or teens for 4 weeks post-vaccination due to Reye's syndrome risk
